Types of Visas

1. Tourist Visa

The Tourist Visa is granted to travelers who wish to vacation in Indonesia. This visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended once for an additional 30 days.

2. Business Visa

The Business Visa is for individuals traveling for business purposes such as attending meetings, conferences, or other business activities. This visa is also valid for 30 days and can be extended.

3. Visa On Arrival ( VOA)

  • On Arrival: You can get the VoA at designated entry points such as major airports (e.g., Soekarno-Hatta in Jakarta, Ngurah Rai in Bali) and seaports (e.g., Batam Center, Benoa in Bali)​ (InvestinAsia)​​ (Wego Travel Blog)​.
  • Electronic VoA (eVoA): Alternatively, you can apply for an eVoA online before traveling. This is done through official websites like molina.imigrasi.go.id or evisa.imigrasi.go.id. General Requirements

For all types of visas, the following general requirements usually apply:

  • A passport with at least 6 months of validity.
  • A completed and signed visa application form.
  • Recent passport-sized photographs with a white background.
  • Proof of round-trip airline tickets.
  • Proof of accommodation in Indonesia.
  • Sufficient financial proof to cover the stay.

Additional Requirements for Business and Work Visas

  • An invitation letter from a company or institution in Indonesia.
  • A work statement from the employer in the home country.
  • For Work Visas, a work permit from the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower is required.

Visa Application Procedure

Step 1: Prepare Documents

Step 3: Submit the Application

Step 4: Pay Visa Fees

Pay the visa fee according to the type of visa you are applying for. Be sure to keep the payment receipt.

Step 5: Processing and Approval

Wait for your visa application to be processed. Processing times may vary depending on the type of visa and your home country. Once approved, you will be notified to collect your passport with the issued visa.

Visa Extension

If you need to extend your stay in Indonesia, visit the nearest Immigration Office before your visa expires. The extension process requires additional documents and payment of an extension fee.
